Frequently Asked Questions About Paintball
Below are a list of the most common questions we get asked when people are looking at paintball for their next function, event or special occasion.
Is it Safe?
Paintball is very safe. Providing you follow all of our rules and systems, we will insure you have the best time. We have field marshals who are there making sure you play hard, but most importantly, play safe. All of our staff are trained in first-aid and fully equipped first aid kit is always on site.
Do I Need to Make a Booking?
Yes you do. As we store NO GEAR ONSITE, we operate on a booking system. So if you would like to play you will need to either email us through our contact form here, or call us on 022 422 4556. You need to have at least 6 people to make a booking.
We currently don’t have EFTPOS. You will need to bring cash with you. We do supply invoices / receipts for businesses. If you would like to organize an alternative payment arrangement please email or call us to discuss the options.
Is There an Age Limit?
Technically there is not, but we have found that the minimum age to play paintball is 10 years old. The reason for this is that any younger and you can not fit the mask required to play. There are some exceptions. Kids come in all different sizes and shapes, so we really take it on a per case basis.
Do I Need to Supervise My Children?
You need to remain onsite if you have children younger than 13 years old. We also have paperwork that must be filled out by the accompanying parent. guardian or supervisor. You can sit and relax while our field marshals supervise your group.
What Can I Expect On Arrival?
Excitement! We recommend you turn up 15 minutes before your booking time. This will allow us to process every player, fill out all the necessary paperwork, run through the safety and game briefing and get you out on the field ready to play.
Do I Need to Bring Anything?
The right attitude! We supply everything you need to play paintball. We don’t supply overalls so we do recommend you wear some loose clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. The paint washes out so there is no worries with staining. If you have any medication (allergies etc) then we recommend you let the marshal know and give it to them prior to playing.
You’re welcome to bring food and drinks as you need. We do sell drinks on site if you require.
Can I Bring My Own Paintballs?
Simple answer NO. We source high quality paintballs to use on our field. To control the quality of what is being used we must enforce a zero tolerance policy on foreign paintballs.
Can I Use My Own Paintball Gear?
Yes you sure can. The only thing you can’t bring and use is paintballs purchased elsewhere and any equipment that is no longer safe (cracked masks) to use or is out of test date (HPA & CO2 tanks).
When Are You Open?
We are open by bookings only. We store no gear onsite so if you were to just turn up you would find no one there. our bookings are generally throughout the weekend but we also cater for week day games. We are open for bookings from 9am – 5pm (later if during daylight savings).
Where Are You Located?
We are off the end of the Wither Road Extension. We are close to the recycling center and the Go-Kart track. If you head down the Wither Road Extension, past the recycling center, down towards the river bank, cross the ford and our gate is on the left. A map can be found on our site.
What About My Valuables?
We have secure lockers onsite. We do not suggest taking anything valuable out onto the field. Hand over anything valuable you have to one of our marshals and they will place it in the locker for your retrieval after the booking.
What Happens When it Rains on My Booking?
You can still play! But if getting wet is to much for you then you will need to ring in to cancel your booking. We need you to call us as soon as possible to cancel or re-book. We require at least one hours notice of cancellation.
I am Addicted! I Want to Play More!
We get that. If you are searching for a more intense paintball fix then we recommend you contact the local club. They have regular monthly games that you are welcome to join. Contact the club here.
I Want to Purchase My Own Gear!
We recommend you try out as much gear as possible before you commit to purchasing paintball equipment. The best way to do this is to come join the local club guys. They will be more than happy to lend you some equipment. Below is a list of New Zealand suppliers.
